New Know Your Hadrian's Wall Country 2010 programme!

 

Know Your Hadrian’s Wall Country is an exciting training initiative for people who work with visitors within Hadrian’s Wall Country.  The programme will offer training on a wide variety of topics, all of which celebrate what Hadrian’s Wall Country has to offer visitors, and what makes this region so special.  So if you work with visitors to the area and would like to broaden your knowledge of topics close to the heart of Hadrian’s Wall Country please have a look at the courses on offer:

March 18th Thursday, Great North Museum - A Guide to Roman Inscriptions by Paul Bidwell of Tyne & Wear Museums
March 22nd Monday, Brocolitia & Chesters Roman Fort - Places of Worship & Roman Daily Life by Jan Williams & Georgina Plowright
March 30th Tuesday, Senhouse Museum - Throwing & Knowing: Pots and the Lives of People Who Made Them by Graham Tailor of Potted History
April 20th Tuesday, Steel Rigg - Chill on the Sill by Richard Holmes
April 27th Tuesday, Housesteads & Twice Brewed - Cultural History & the Future of the Wall by Prof. Richard Hingley and Dr. David Petts
June Dig Day, Arbeia Roman Fort - Date to be confirmed but please do register your interest


All courses are free to attend, run from 10am - 3pm and lunch will be provided.
