Hadrian's Wall Country Bus

AD122 Bus Timetable 2012

(See Downloads below)

The service for the 2012 season will operate from Good Friday 6th April until Sunday 28th October 2012. Other local and regional bus services run all year.  For more details to plan your journey go to www.traveline.info

The award-winning Hadrian's Wall Country Bus AD122 runs from Newcastle Central Station to Carlisle with connecting services to Bowness-on-Solway (see below for Bus and Taxi bus services). It is an easy and sustainable way to get around: going to all the right places and takes bicycles. There is a more frequent service to the main Roman sites in the central section.

For a relaxing visit to Hadrian’s Wall Country use the AD122 seasonal service  and the network of local bus services to take the stress out of driving.  To discover  more of the area  there is a year-round bus network,  downloads of the timetables are  shown below.

For those preferring to leave later in the day from Newcastle upon Tyne there is the train and other buses including the Arriva 685 and Go North East 10 Service.

* New Taxi Bus Service between Bowness and Carlisle *

A new Taxi Bus service now operates on Sundays and Bank Holidays between Carlisle and Bowness-on-Solway (2012 timetable to follow).  Convenient if you are starting or finishing the National Trail.

The timetables on this website are compiled on the basis of information supplied by the bus operators.  We try to keep them up to date but unfortunately Hadrian’s Wall Heritage  is unable to accept liability for the consequences of any inaccuracy, error or omission.
