Education and Learning

The Education and Learning Action Plan summarises current partnership activity and future planned activity in relation to the following Issue identified in the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site Management Plan.

Issue 15: Education

Current and future activities in respect of some aspects of other Management Plan Issues which concern Education and Learning are also included in this Plan.  These include:

Issue 1: Management of the WHS
Issue 13: Engaging with communities

Each of the Action Plans is presented in a standardised format which sets out those Policies and Actions from the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site Management Plan attributed to each Plan.  The draft then provides a brief summary of the current status of activity related to each Policy and Action together with an outline of the key tasks required to take forward their implementation.  The draft then identifies the main bodies or interests which will be primarily involved in taking forward those tasks.

The first draft of the Education and Learning 2010 Action Plan has sought to identify which Policies and Actions require coordinated action between partners in the short term which will then form the basis of the 2010 Action Plan, as well as those to be taken forward in the medium/longer term.

The first draft of the Education and Learning 2010 Action Plan can be viewed below and comments on this draft are requested to be made by Friday 15th January 2010 to managementplan@hadrianswallheritage.co.uk
