The Archaeological Research Action Plan summarises current partnership activity and future planned activity in relation to the following Issue identified in the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site Management Plan.

Current and future activities in respect of some aspects of another Management Plan Issue which concerns Archaeological Research are also included in this Plan, namely:

Issue 13: Engaging with communities

Each of the Action Plans is presented in a standardised format which sets out those Policies and Actions from the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site Management Plan attributed to each Plan.  The draft then provides a brief summary of the current status of activity related to each Policy and Action together with an outline of the key tasks required to take forward their implementation.  The draft then identifies the main bodies or interests which will be primarily involved in taking forward those tasks.

It is intended that the second draft of the Archaeological Research 2010 Action Plan will include an identification of which Policies and Actions require coordinated action between partners in the short, medium or longer term, and from this will be derived a programme of actions which will form the basis of the 2010 Action Plan.
